What is the receiver of navigational warnings

The service transmits navigation and meteorological warnings to its area by radio: changes in the situation, work, storm messages. The receiver receives them automatically and stores them, the watchman has to read them.

For ships that are subject to equipment requirements, such a receiver is mandatory. That is why certificates are important - without them, equipment will not be accepted during the examination.

About this kit.

The supply includes a receiver, a touch panel and an antenna - that is, the kit is ready for installation without overorder. The panel with a diagonal of 7 inches is placed in the wheelhouse, read in the sun and in the dark.

Three reception frequencies overlap international and national transmissions: 518 kHz is an international channel, 490 kHz is a national channel, and 4,209.5 kHz is a short wavelength for distant areas. Memory of up to two thousand messages on each frequency means that the archive will not overflow in a flight.

Docking with the navigation system of the vessel is according to the standard maritime protocol, there is also a network connector - messages can be displayed to other workplaces.
