SAILOR CH4656
SAILOR CH4656 – marine charger GMDSS 24V/10A
- Input voltage 230 V AC (176–264 V), 50/60 Hz
- Output voltage 26.8–28.8 V DC, adjustable
- Maximum current 10A
- 4 separate DC outputs
- Individual fuse protection for each output
- Charges open and sealed lead batteries
Why do I need a separate GMDSS charger?
The global maritime disaster communications system must be operational when the marine network has already shut down. Therefore, it is powered by individual batteries, and those are kept charged constantly - this is the work of the marine charger.
The CH4656 is designed to charge open or sealed lead-acid batteries. The support voltage is agreed upon according to the manufacturer of the specific battery. The four protected lines are not four independent chargers with different settings.
The parameters of this model
Power supply from the marine network 230 V with a wide tolerance of 176-264 V - calculation for drawdowns and jumps, which are common on board. The output of 26.8–28.8 V DC covers the standard marine circuit of 24 V.
The CH4656 has four separately protected output lines; the main charging current in the technical data is 10 A continuous. The presence of four lines does not increase this figure to 40 A. Load distribution and protection work are agreed on the documentation and installation scheme.
The guidance provides for open and sealed lead-acid batteries. The mode and admissibility of a particular battery group is confirmed by its documentation; separate settings for each of the four lines are not promised.
What is specified before ordering
Is there enough current?
List what is powered from the emergency network - calculate the load and confirm the reserve.
Are there any register documents?
Tell us which register the ship is under, we will select a configuration with the necessary certificates.
Who's editing?
Usually a marine electrician. The connection circuit is transmitted with the equipment.
