01
Documents on configuration
Approvals are validated for a specific SAILOR model and configuration. Before ordering, we agree on a list of documents and installation requirements.
02
Marine communication SAILOR
The SAILOR range includes maritime communications and security equipment. For selection, the purpose of equipment, power supply and composition of the marine system are checked.
03
RKO and RMRS: documents
The SAILOR 6390 is available with RKO and RMRS documents. Their composition and applicability to a particular configuration and vessel are checked before ordering.
04
All three Navtex frequencies
SAILOR 6390 simultaneously receives 490 kHz (national language), 518 kHz (international English) and 4,209.5 kHz (tropics and far seas). Up to 6,000 messages in memory.
05
Alarm D — SAR, Mayday, Pirates
The SAILOR 6390 manual describes signalling when category D messages are received. Connections and settings are checked for the installed version; alarm operation is verified during commissioning.
06
Charging characteristics
CH4656 is an automatic charger with IE characteristics (constant current → floating charge). Charges open and sealed lead-acid batteries without recharging, suitable for UPS-assemblies with emergency chain GMDSS.
07
Four protected outputs.
The CH4656 has four separately fused DC outputs. Protection coordination and the behaviour of the complete circuit during a short circuit are checked against the installation diagram and device documentation.
08
LAN integration with INS
SAILOR 6390 integration with an INS depends on supported interfaces, message formats and software. LAN is used in the specified configuration with the 6004 panel; delivery to other workstations must be checked against the connected system documentation.
09
NAVDAT-ready
The SAILOR 6390 manual specifies preparations for the NAVDAT 500 kHz through a software update. The availability and applicability of the update must be confirmed for the specific configuration.

Vessel types SAILOR
Selection of the CH4656 and SAILOR 6390 kit starts with the vessel tasks, reserve power, existing navigation equipment and project requirements. Equipment and approval documents are checked for the specified configuration and operating area.
Merchant Navy
For a container ship, tanker, bulk carrier or supply vessel, the GMDSS configuration follows applicable requirements and the vessel project. The NAVTEX receiver and reserve power arrangement are selected for that installation.
Fishing fleet
Seiners, trawlers, freezer floating depots. Far away fishing areas – taking Navtex at 4,209.5 kHz is critical. CH4656 is powering the emergency.
Passenger vessels
Cruise ships, ferries, excursion catamarans. GMDSS level A1+A2+A3+A4, full take. The SAILOR 6390 with RMRS is a must.
Large motor yachts, sailing yachts of class "cruiser", expedition catamarans. CH4656 - standard charging of emergency batteries at UPS-scheme.
River and mixed
River-sea, pushers, barges, cruise river fleet. RKO/RRR Classification – our SAILOR 6390 kit works directly.
Mining platforms
Offshore platforms, FPSOs and drilling installations require consideration of environmental conditions, communications and equipment documents. The configuration and scope of supply are agreed against the project.
Navy and border guard
Border boats, minesweepers, support ships. SAILOR has historically been the backbone of the Danish and Norwegian navies; it is legal for Russia to supply civilian services.
