CH4656: Network alarm and battery control

When buying a CH4656 for an existing installation, it is important to keep not only the battery charge, but also the condition signals provided. The presence of the output voltage does not yet indicate whether the watch will know about the disappearance of the main network. Therefore, the charger and control circuits are agreed as parts of the same circuit.

Two control outputs solve different tasks

CH4656/CH4666/CH2410 lists AC Mains Alarm output and Battery-protected monitoring output for the CH4656. The first is a power supply accident, the second is a battery control accident. These designations cannot be combined into an arbitrary “digital interface” or automatically considered a ready-made alert system.

For AC Mains Alarm, the technical data indicate the emergency closed relay contacts and the ranges of 5–50 mA, 10–32 V. These are signal chain parameters, not an additional power output for power supply devices. The method of connection and the admissibility of the existing chain are checked by documentation of both parties.

Indicate who is receiving the signal.

The application requires not only a charger, but also the name of the connected panel, control unit or other receiving equipment. Attach a diagram, terminal markings and known entry parameters. If the previous scheme is missing, please let us know: the purchase of the new CH4656 does not confirm the compatibility of the unknown line.

To control the battery separately specify the purpose of the existing external device and the applicable connection scheme. The title of the protected output does not promise any alarm threshold, built-in remote indicator or record all events. These functions should be explicitly provided by the composition of your system.

What to include in one order statement

The basic position is CH4656 in consistent configuration and condition. Next, the stored batteries, external control devices, cables and accessories that will need to be supplied additionally are recorded. If you need a new panel or other intermediate node, it is first selected by task and documentation, then included in the quotation. A random panel by the common word “alarm” is not substituted.

The cost of the existing card relates to the specified charger. It does not mean that it is automatically attached to an external panel, new batteries, all the cable installation and configuration of the marine system. How to describe the reception without guessing

Before installation, agree on what event the operator should receive, on which device it is displayed and how the restoration of normal state is confirmed. The efficiency of the own display of the charger and the work of the remote panel are different checkpoints. In the acceptance program, they must remain distinguishable.

The control change in the state of power supply is carried out by specialists in documentation and approved scheme, taking into account the existing equipment. There is no universal procedure for disabling the operating system. The result should be a clear record of the circuits tested, the settings applied, and the limitations stored, not just the “charged on” mark.

What to send for purchase

Indicate the marking of the former CH4656, battery data, main network parameters, the model of the receiving panel and a list of stored connections. Add the number of devices and the city of receipt – for example, St. Petersburg, Murmansk or Vladivostok.
