CH4656: seating and cooling
To replace the charger in the cabinet was a place the size of the case CH4656. However, after installation, there may be no room for air, cables and maintenance. When buying a marine charger, it is useful to compare not only voltage and current, but also the entire mounting volume. This is especially noticeable when installed in an existing compartment where other power supply and appliances are already located nearby.
The size of the body is less than the installation space
The technical manual CH4656/CH4666/CH2410 gives a housing 110×370×260 mm. In the mounting figure, a space for air movement of at least 200 mm and a space for cable 250 mm are separately marked. These designations refer to the accommodation options shown. They should not be folded into an arbitrary universal cabinet size or transferred to another configuration without checking the drawing.
The buyer needs a plan of the real place: the size of the free area, adjacent surfaces and equipment, the intended position of the housing and the direction of the cable approach. The photo only of the front panel of the old charger of this task does not close. It is useful to show the place with the door open and the location of the elements that will remain after replacement.

The conditions of the compartment are included in the selection
The manufacturer indicates for the charging class of the case IP22 and the operating temperature from −20 to +55 °C. This data relates to equipment and its applicable documentation. They do not turn any marine compartment, outdoor area, or spot near the spray into a suitable installation point. Actual conditions must be compared before the order and agreed with the contractor.
The ambient air temperature should not be confused with the battery temperature or a separate charge algorithm. The question of this article is where will it work? CH4656. Indicate what is nearby, whether the conditions change when the equipment is running and what limitations the existing layout has. If there is no data, they should be defined in the preparation, and not considered favorable by default.
Vertical and horizontal variant
The manual provides for vertical and horizontal placement. For the purchase, it is an opportunity to compare options according to the applicable pattern, rather than allowing the block to be rotated arbitrarily and block the spaces provided. Easy for fastening option should remain acceptable for cooling, entering lines and subsequent work.

Power service refers to work on documentation and agreed scheme. There is no procedure for opening a valid charger or replacing protective elements. The buyer formulates the result: after installation, the provided access remains, the scope of work is known and it is clear which parts of the existing layout are saved. This reduces the risk of ordering a unit that fits electrically but requires unexpected reworking of the space.
